復(fù)古飛行海報(bào)一百年,黃金時(shí)代不再

飛機(jī)旅行至今還有著時(shí)尚與高端生活方式的象征意義。而在飛行技術(shù)的普及、影視廣告的宣傳以及這種出行方式的便利性之外,空中旅行的黃金時(shí)代其實(shí)是由無(wú)數(shù)的復(fù)古旅行海報(bào)而展開(kāi)的。這些海報(bào)以其或直白或隱晦的方式,傳達(dá)出飛機(jī)旅行的魅力和奢華,又帶來(lái)關(guān)于逃離當(dāng)下生活的無(wú)限遐想。


近日,為了紀(jì)念其每日國(guó)際航空服務(wù)開(kāi)通一百周年,英國(guó)航空(British Airways)回顧了其過(guò)往最具有代表性的1200幅復(fù)古海報(bào)作品,并將其結(jié)集成書(shū)出版,檢視在過(guò)去的世紀(jì)中,旅行廣告設(shè)計(jì)潮流的風(fēng)云變幻。

這本名為《British Airways: 100 Years of Aviation Posters》(英國(guó)航空海報(bào)100年)的書(shū),是現(xiàn)任BA Heritage Collection策展人Paul Jarvis的心血之作,Jarvis過(guò)去亦曾擔(dān)任英國(guó)航空的助理企業(yè)秘書(shū)。書(shū)中輯錄的大量過(guò)往海報(bào)不僅組成了一場(chǎng)設(shè)計(jì)回顧展,更是對(duì)歷史和風(fēng)格變化的記錄。“人們想看這些作品,但是他們也想知道這些圖像的具體內(nèi)涵?!盝arvis對(duì)CNN說(shuō)。


較早期的英航海報(bào),重心更多在于空中旅行的舒適性和便捷性,海報(bào)的首要目的在于鼓勵(lì)人們嘗試搭乘飛機(jī)出行。

而到了上個(gè)世紀(jì)中期,跨洋飛行越發(fā)普遍,飛行目的地的選擇也逐漸多樣化起來(lái)。海報(bào)的重心,則轉(zhuǎn)移到對(duì)不同旅行目的地的動(dòng)人描繪——比如陽(yáng)光明媚的澳大利亞海灘,比如燈紅酒綠之下的曼哈頓天臺(tái)。而到了上世紀(jì)60年代的時(shí)候,由于電視廣告的流行,飛行海報(bào)也更多地與攝影相結(jié)合,譬如將60年代“搖擺倫敦”文化融入到設(shè)計(jì)中,呈現(xiàn)年輕人們享受時(shí)髦生活方式的景象。

而到了今天,海報(bào)設(shè)計(jì)已是完全數(shù)字化了,電視和互聯(lián)網(wǎng)變成市場(chǎng)傳播的重要戰(zhàn)地。“在如今這個(gè)時(shí)代,如果通過(guò)平面媒體來(lái)觸及廣泛且有意義的消費(fèi)者群體,那實(shí)在是太昂貴了,”Jarvis說(shuō),“那些海報(bào)盛行的30,40,50甚至60年代,已全然過(guò)去,也不會(huì)再現(xiàn)了。”

而即便旅行海報(bào)的黃金年代已逝,Javis并不認(rèn)為如今的海報(bào)設(shè)計(jì)在藝術(shù)性方面有所減少——科技創(chuàng)新永遠(yuǎn)在前行,只不過(guò)是用Photoshop還是用手繪進(jìn)行創(chuàng)作的區(qū)別而已。
