大家也許還記得，前幾年美國編劇大罷工，一向妙語生花的脫口秀主持人都頓時黯然，頻頻卡殼。

編劇的力量是無窮的。同樣擁有這種魔力的幕后人物還有Ted Sorensen——肯尼迪總統(tǒng)的演講稿撰寫人，出品過諸如“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”（不要問國家能為你做什么，問問你能為國家做什么）等金句。

把總統(tǒng)演講撰稿人與編劇相提并論，似乎對總統(tǒng)本人有些不敬，還好，肯尼迪總統(tǒng)圖書館（JFK Presidential Library and Museum）制作了上述向Ted Sorensen致敬的海報，直言“We're at a loss for words.”足見其誠意與大方。

 TheJFK Presidential Library and Museumhas run a print ad and poster honoring Ted Sorensen, JFK’s speechwriter who authored “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” among other great lines. Ted died on October 31, 2010.
